Warm Apple Ginger Date Crumble

This vegan crumble is one you won’t want to miss. It is so delicious with a hint of ginger and paired with the caramel dates and then baked into the hot piping apples filled with their thick natural juices.

APPLE FILLING
 6 Large organic APPLES
 3 tbsp Fresh grated GINGER
  cup Organic spelt FLOUR
  cup Organic Apple JUICE
 12 Chopped dates (we use Khadrawy dates, which are smaller)
CRUMBLE TOPPING
 1 ½ cups Organic rolled OATS
 ½ cup Organic spelt FLOUR (use any flour)
 ¼ cup Brown SUGAR
 3 tbsp Coconut OIL
 Pinch of SALT
APPLE MIXTURE

Slice apples & place in a large mixing bowl

Add the flour & mix

Add apple juice & mix

Add dark brown sugar & mix

Add grated ginger & give it a final mix

Pour into baking dish

Add chopped dates over the top

CRUMBLE TOPPING

Add oats to a small to med size bowl

Add flour, sugar & salt and stir

Add **coconut oil (or date paste mixture if making oil-free)

Stir thoroughly to mix

Bake uncovered 400 degrees (200c) for 40 min

Cover with foil & put back in oven for 15-20 min more, till apples are deliciously soft

You can remove foil & bake 5 more min to brown crumble if ti is not crunchy yet

**NOTES & SUGGESTIONS

**To make oil-free just omit the coconut oil & add 6 dates to 1/2c water & boil. Then blend and mix in with the oat crumble topping instead of oil.
