This stuffing recipe is like no other, we promise. First of all, it is vegan, yet any meat-eater will love this recipe. Also, if you leave the sausage out then it is completely oil-free. The combination of the sausage, mushroom & apples combined with the beautiful holiday herbs of thyme, rosemary & sage makes this stuffing irresistibly delicious.
This recipe is vegan & can be easily made gluten-free & oil-free.
Holidays meals must include a delicious stuffing & this one won’t disappoint you!!
Bake sausage patties in the oven as per package & chop in pieces & put aside
Add all of the chopped mushrooms to a large hot pan
Stir & cover until the mushrooms cook down & bring out much of their own liquid
Now add diced onions into the pan with the softly cooked mushrooms
Add a bit of salt & pepper & stir
Put the lid on & cook until mushrooms cook further & onions become translucent
Add all spices: Sage, Rosemary & Thyme
Add diced celery & apple
Add dry herbed stuffing cubes
Begin to add apple juice & veggie broth a little at a time; allowing the mixture to cook down
Continue cooking, stirring & adding veggie broth & apple juice till 100% incorporated
When the mixture has cooked down add aminos, if using
Add sausage pieces & stir to mix
Add more seasoning if needed.
