We are reaching record high temperatures all over the globe this summer. The world cup women’s soccer was played in Paris with temperatures over 100. Imagine that… Geez this is horrible. Germany had 3 straight weeks of record high temperatures with many days over 100. In the US most of this country is currently under a heat warnings and we are hearing the news of old people die every night as they don’t have air conditioning and it is just too much to bear.
Each of us need to ask ourselves what we can do to help do our part in this time of climate crisis and the decline of our mother earth as we have known it. It is so easy to think there is nothing that one person can do that can make a difference when the problem is so grand. But you know what? Yes, there is. I believe one by one by one by one can = millions pretty fast. I believe we are the change and that is why I do the work I do. I know if I can help millions understand how to take charge of their health and learn how to rid their symptoms, heal or reverse their diseases and have more energy, the world would be a better place. This is my life work and I won’t stop telling you the truths and the lies of how to feel better and get well no matter where you are starting from.
The biggest thing you can do to make a difference to your health AND our climate in crisis is to eat a plant based diet. Did you know that meat based diets promote production of methane gas, which is one of the main gasses that instigate emissions that cause global warming. Also raising livestock for meat, eggs and milk generates approximately 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions, the second highest source of emissions and this amount is greater than all transportation emissions combined. Another known fact is that animal agriculture has decimated our forests because it uses about 70% of agricultural land. It is one of the leading causes of deforestation, biodiversity loss, and water pollution. So EAT PLANT BASED and help save our water, our forests, our climate and especially our beautiful animals. So one by one by one we can and will change the world! Just do your part.
But now that summer is here and the heat is unbearable what can we do sustain our health in this heat. The best advice I can give you is to drink a lot of your meals. They hydrate you, refresh you and fill you with pure nutrients at the same time. Eating less in the summer is common when it is so hot out. Smoothies are a great option, fruit bowls and just lots of whole fresh fruit is always the best choice because fruit is the food that is filled with the most water in it. And this is no ordinary kind of water it is full of minerals that help keep you hydrated and in PH balance. Try even eating fruit only for 3 days and see how you feel. Another good choice for dinners and lunches are salads because they are raw and have lots of water and nutrition in them along with them not being heavy foods.
